Description

This Dated November 29, 1946 7.25x10 Typed Letter has been Personally written by Ayn Rand. This item is 100% Authentic, it comes slabbed and authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services. The authenticity can be verified on Beckett Authentication Services website. The typed letter reads in full on the reverse of the original letter from Karl Wieger: “Thank you for your letter. Please excuse my delay in acknowledging it. The pressure of work has made it impossible for me to do it sooner. I am glad that you liked THE FOUNTAINHEAD. I am always interested to hear about it from architects. No, ‘the dithyrambs about skyscrapers’ is not ‘a reflection of megalomania.’ It is a reflection of the basic theme of the book, which, incidentally, is not architecture. That is why I didn't go into Roark's troubles with building codes or registration laws. That is small change in relation to what I had to say. I did cover the basic principles from which such troubles originate. I am enclosing a printed letter which you may find interesting.” The matching book is not included with this letter.
